Hockey Academy – Adult Development
Our Hockey Academy – Adult Development class is professionally coached by Mid-South Ice House hockey staff. The 8-week session is geared toward adults (men and women), who want to develop the skills necessary to play in our Adult Hockey League, and for Adult League players who want to improve their skills in a structured environment based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM). Drills and station-based training are tailored to meet the experience level of individual participants. For those new to hockey, our hockey staff will monitor progress and when ready, will help them through the process of transitioning into the Adult League.
During this 8-week session, we will focus on skating and skills – those abilities necessary to play and excel in our Adult Hockey Leaue. Adult Development runs concurrent with Youth Learn-to-Play and Advanced Hockey classes, but the classes are completely separate (e.g. adults have their own area(s) of the ice with stations and drills exclusive to adults).
Note: Mid-South Ice House adult hockey is governed by USA Hockey, and all leagues are “no check”, meaning the big hits you see at a professional, college, or even a high school hockey game are not allowed. There is inadvertant physical contact, and that which is only allowed when two players are playing the puck.

Hockey Academy – Adult Development Class Structure: 8 weekly sessions (:45 minutes each), running 6/21/22 through 8/9/22. Classes are on Tuesdays, starting at 6:45 pm.
Requirements:
- Full gear is required.
- Must be 18 or older and *USA Hockey Registered*.
We also offer Adult Learn to Skate classes through our Skate Academy. These are 8 week sessions, running :45 minutes (:30 minutes of instruction plus :15 minutes practice ice). These classes do not require equipment but require registering with Learn to Skate USA.
***Early Bird Special: Register by 6/7/22 
and receive (2) free Stick-and-Puck passes.
Register by 6/7:
$145 – 8 classes total.
- Second Class Discount*: $15 off if also registered for a Skate Academy class.
* May register online or on-site to receive second class discount.
Register after 6/7/22:
$160 – 8 classes total.
