• 8-week Hockey Academy – Learn-to-Play Hockey session led by our hockey staff.
• Full equipment, hockey stick, and jersey to keep (participant must come to scheduled fitting).
• Skates to be used during the session (must be returned at the end of each class).
• Requires USA Hockey Registration.

* At a minimum, participants need to be able to skate across the ice without using a scooter or holding-on to the boards.  It is recommended that kids first complete one or more Learn to Skate classes.  Mid-South Ice House offers Learn-to-Skate classes through its Skate Academy. 

*The main difference between Little Pros & Hockey Academy Learn to Play is that Hockey Academy does not come with equipment.

Players will be separated into groups by age & skill. Our class focuses on developing the skating skills learned in Skate Academy and introduces more advanced skating techniques (pivots, V-starts, transitions, etc.). The class also introduces stick handling, passing, shooting, cone drills, competition, relays, scrimmages, and more. We incorporate the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM), which includes stations, small area games and skills training, lots of reps, and lots of puck touches.

Our class is structured to prepare participants for the next step—Youth Recreation League hockey.

Register by 12/11:

$180 – 8 classes total.

• ​Sibling Discount*: $10 off each additional child after 1st child.
• Second Class Discount*: $15 off if also registered for a Skate Academy class or playing in current Rec. League.
